The Alvear Palace Hotel is situated in the most elegant neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, La Recoleta. It is an area of extensive parks, wide avenues, and luxurious architecture in a classical style, where the best restaurants, cafes, antique shops and boutiques of Buenos Aires, are to be found. Some of the main museums and cultural centres are close by, and the financial area is only five minutes away.
Originally built as a luxury hotel to accommodate the increasing amount of European visitors arriving in Buenos Aires at the time, the Alvear Palace was transformed in 1932 into a model of the highest expression of refinement. The majestic rooms and suites, as well as the lobby and public areas, are reminiscent of the Louis XV and Louis XVI styles, which are evident in the furniture, the crystal chandeliers, walls decorated with gold leaf and works of art of famous artists.
The eleven-floor luxurious building with five basement levels stands as an undisputed symbol of the city, on the corner of Alvear Avenue and Ayacucho Street.
Continuous work and dedication, guided by the maximum standards of international excellence, led to the designation of the Alvear Palace Hotel as a member of the Leading Hotels of the World in 1993, an organization that recognizes the best hotels in the world.
The hotel has 11 floors and 5 suites, 80 rooms and 120 suites, as well as 12 splendid meeting rooms, heated swimming pool, gym, park area, convention center, sauna, business center, and two restaurants (La Bourgogne, L’Orangerie). Two bars (Lobby Bar, Alvear Roof Bar).

- Royal suite: It has a reception hall, a large living room, a dining room to receive up to 8 guests, a cozy studio, a large bedroom, two bathrooms fully tiled in fine Italian botticino marbles.
- Premier palace room: For single or double use, with 1 queen or king bed or 2 twin beds, they form an integrated environment of comfortable dimensions, with work desk, decorated with Empire and Louis XVI style furniture.
- Executive presidential suite: Circular reception hall with marble floor, large living room, dining room with capacity up to 10 people with independent entrance, a bedroom with dressing room, two bathrooms – one with jacuzzi and one with LCD TV in the bathroom – and a toilet.
- Presidential Suite: Reception hall, an elegant dining room with capacity for up to 8 people, a large oval living room, a bedroom and two bathrooms clad in botticino marble equipped with whirlpool, LCD TV and shower box.
- Palace room: For single and double occupancy, 1 queen, king or 2 twin beds, include a work desk, while their ample space is decorated in Imperial-style and Louis XVI furniture. Fruit basket upon arrival, Hermes de Paris toiletries, Egyptian cotton linen LCD TV in bathtub and separated shower box.
- Governors suite: The Suite has a reception hall, a French-style oval living room and a comfortable bedroom. These suites connect with Palace rooms, being ideal for families, delegations and committees. The careful selection of French fabrics in gold tones, carpets of exclusive design, bronze and crystal chandeliers recreate a harmonious space of luxury.
- Junior suite: An elegant European style suite with 1 queen, king or 2 twin beds offers a living room integrated into the bedroom.
