Almost 1.9 million tourists stayed at Argentine hotels in March
“Tourism continues to grow steadily in Argentina and generates more and more genuine jobs,” said the Minister of National Tourism, Gustavo Santos
Almost 1.9 million tourists stayed in hotel establishments across the country in March, representing a growth of 12 percent compared to the same month of 2017, while the first quarter of the year marked a historic record in overnight stays, with some 16 million, reported today by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (Indec).
In its Monthly Hotel Occupancy Survey (EOH), the agency specified that the number of guests in the third month was 1,889,156, of which 1,498,038 were Argentine residents (with an interannual increase of 12.7%) and foreigners totaled 391,118 (9.3% above).
• The Survey added that in March there were 4,390,908 overnight stays, 16.5% more than in the same period of the previous year, divided into 3,517,426 local tourists and 873,482 overseas visitors.
