Hospitality is the generic name FOR economic activities THAT CONSIST OF the provision of services linked to sporadic accommodation and food, FREQUENTLY linked to tourism.
When combined with other services or attractions, hotels can BE DIVIDED INTO other categories such as leisure activities.
The hospitality services linked to activities such as health (hospitals) or education (high-schools) are sometimes considered and managed separately and IN OTHER CASES CAN BE considered and managed together with the PRINCIPAL activity.
Cruises are an activity that combines transport with the hotelS, which is less COMMON in trains or airplanes.
Types of hotels
- A) Hotel (H): EstablishmentS that permanently provides accommodation serviceS in PRIVATE rooms WITH PRIVATE BATHROOMS, offering the guest basic and complementary services according to its category and TYPE; its daily accommodation FEES CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE type of room and number of GUESTS.
- B) Residence Hotel (HR): EstablishmentS that permanently provides accommodation serviceS in apartments or cabins, offering the guests a minimum of basic and complementary services according to their category and TYPE. THEIR daily and special accomodation FEES ARE ONLY for long stays, not less than a month, AND THEY CHANGE DEPENDING ON THE type of apartment or cabin and THE number of GUESTS.
Motel (M): EstablishmentS that permanently provides ACCOMODATION serviceS in rooms WITH PRIVATE BATHROOMS, offering the guestS basic and complementary services according to their category and TYPE. Located generally IN THE OUTSKIRTS OF urban areas OR NEXT TO THE ROAD with A parking LOT NEXT or close to the housing units and WHICH physical layout allows the guests TO HAVE direct access to their rooms from the PARKING LOT. ITS daily accommodation FEES DEPEND ON THE room type and number of GUESTS.
Pension (PE): EstablishmentS that permanently provides accommodation serviceS in rooms, with shared, common or collective BATHROOMS. DEPENDING ON THE GUESTS request a full or half-meal service is offered; its periodic accommodation FEES CAN BE: daily, weekly or monthly and will include in each case the meal plan PRICE agreed with the guest.
Hosting (HP): EstablishmentS that provide on a permanent basis the ACCOMODATION service in private or SHARED/collective rooms with ALSO A private/SHARED BATHROOMS. It does not offer food service but a minimum of basic services ITS FEES being FOR periodic accommodation – daily, weekly or monthly DEPENDING ON THE type of room CHOSEN.
Special Establishment (EE): EstablishmentS that provide periodically or permanently accommodation serviceS whICH characteristics and conditions are different from those mentioned above.
